How much does an AI product video cost, and how is it made?

At a glance

An AI product video is a short ad built from your product photos. The scenes are generated with AI tools, and people write the storyboard, pick the takes and edit the final cut.

The price mostly follows length. One Veo generation runs up to 8 seconds, so even a 15-second ad is cut together from several clips. Our own 10 to 17 second ads used anywhere from 1 to 11 shots.

Below are the shot counts we measured, what pushes a price up, what a package should include and the steps from photos to final file. Our prices are midway down, under What does Ddakcut charge.

What is an AI product video, and where does it run?

Ddakcut is a video studio in South Korea. We make product ads, 3D product animation and short social cuts for brands, agencies and online stores, with AI tools and a human edit.

An AI product video shows your product in scenes that are generated, not filmed. A serum bottle can sit on a sunlit table, float on water or stand in front of a tiny store that builds itself.

Most of these ads run where people scroll. That means 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, and 16:9 for YouTube, websites and product pages.

The product itself comes from your photos. The more angles you send, the closer every shot stays to the real packaging.

How many shots go into a 15-second AI ad?

It depends on the style of the ad. We counted the scene changes in four of our own finished ads.

AdLengthShotsAverage shotStyle
VERMEILcosmetics ad16.5 seconds111.5 secondsFast cuts: store, model, compact, lipstick, logo
NOCTELLEnight serum ad15 seconds53 secondsSlow close-ups of skin and product

IVE CHARCOAL3D product ad10 seconds110 secondsOne continuous shot while a store builds behind the products

Measured by Ddakcut in October 2026. Scene changes were detected in the final MP4 files with FFmpeg, then checked frame by frame.

A single AI generation is short. Google describes Veo 3.1 as a model for generating 8-second videos.

So the 11 shots in VERMEIL are 11 separate generations. Each shot usually takes several tries before one take is good enough to keep.

A one-shot ad is not the easy option. In IVE CHARCOAL the store keeps growing for the full 10 seconds, and the products have to stay sharp in front the whole time. You can read how the IVE CHARCOAL ad was made.

What makes an AI product video cost more?

Across studios, the same few things move the price.

  1. LengthMore seconds means more shots, more generations and more editing time.
  2. How exact the product must lookSmall label text and fine packaging details take extra generations to get right.
  3. People and charactersKeeping the same face or character in every shot is harder than scenes with only the product.
  4. Extra versionsMore languages, cutdowns or alternative openings add work after the main edit.
  5. Changes after approvalChanging the story once scenes are generated means generating them again.

At Ddakcut the price is set by length. Extra revisions, rush delivery, languages other than English and Korean, and videos longer than 60 seconds are quoted before we start.

Many studios only quote on request. These four publish a starting price on their own websites. We opened each page on 10 October 2026.

How is an AI product video made, step by step?

  1. Send the basicsProduct photos, a link to your product page and where the video will run.
  2. Free script and storyboardWe write the script and sketch every shot. You pay nothing until you approve it.
  3. Invoice and 50% depositWe invoice in USD through PayPal or Payoneer. The deposit starts the project.
  4. Generate and editAI generates each shot, usually in several takes. An editor picks the takes and handles the cut, color, sound, timing and subtitles.
  5. Review and deliverYou send revisions in rounds. The balance is due before final files, and you get both formats plus the source clips.

Our tools are Google Flow (Veo, Nano Banana) and Higgsfield for scenes, Typecast for voice, Suno and Mureka for music, and CapCut and Vrew for the edit.

If you cancel after paying but before we start generating, you get a full refund. The details are in our terms.

What should you send before we start?

Six things make the storyboard fast and accurate.

  • Product photos from several anglesFront, side, back and a close-up of the label keep the packaging accurate.
  • A link to your product pageWe take your claims, colors and tone from it.
  • Where the video will runReels, TikTok, YouTube, an Amazon listing or a Shopify page. This sets the length and format.
  • The one messageA 15-second ad has room for about one benefit or one offer.
  • Logo and brand colorsThey go into the subtitles and the end card.
  • Ads you likeLinks to reference videos help the storyboard land sooner.

Photos are enough to start. If the product isn't finished yet, send reference images and a description, and we start from the storyboard.
